Why do people marry?

The owl and the pussycat marry in the end of the story. But why do they actually marry? Yes, why do people marry?

1. Ask the pupils to come forward with arguments for and against the institution of marriage.
2. Write down all the suggestions on the black-board.
3. When there are no more suggestions, have a fresh look at the complete list and ask the pupils to select the best argument for and the best argument against marriage.
4. Now wipe out all other arguments from the black-board but these two.
5. Discuss for and against marriage based on these two main arguments.
